Robert Baldassarre is a Managing Director in KPMG’s Economic and Valuation Services practice, based in Boston.

Robert specializes in transfer pricing and valuation, global restructuring, strategic planning and market research.  He has experience in the transfers of tangible and intangible property, logistics planning and tax restructuring, financial transactions, and enterprise valuations. He has also assisted clients with transfer pricing audits in the U.S. and Europe, Competent Authority procedures and the negotiation of Advance Pricing Agreements (APA).  Robert’s client base includes Fortune 500 companies in the high-tech, financial, and consumer and industrial products sectors.

Robert has 14 years of experience in economic analysis and consulting.  Prior to joining KPMG, he served as an internal management consultant in logistics and operations research at Compaq. He also held positions as an Economist and Forecast Manager at DRI/Standard & Poor’s, and in the public sector as a development economist for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Economic Affairs under Governor William Weld. He began his career as a Budget Policy Analyst for the Massachusetts Legislature under Minority Leader Peter Forman.

Robert received a B.A. in international relations and economics and an M.B.A in finance and economics from Boston University and studied European law and economics at the University of Padova in Italy.

He is the co-author of "Key Considerations when Applying the New Service Regulations – Treas. Reg. § 1.482-9T" from the Tax Director's Guide to International Transfer Pricing.
